| Dimensions |
P/N 30TTA
Length = 26 3/8" & 28 3/4"
O.D. = 2.990"*
I.D. = 2.632"*
Weight = 4.3 lbs. |

* These dimensions provide extra clearance for any type/manufacturer of inside or outside torque balls. BAC recommends
.007" total diameter difference between torque tube and torque
ball to keep suspension free. This is recommended regardless
of what type of torque tube you may run: aluminum or carbon
fiber.

The LIGHTEST and STRONGEST Torque
Tube Ever Built!
Will Not Permanently Bend or Break Even In A Crash!
Although the BAC Carbon Fiber Torque Tube is
more expensive initially, it will outlast several aluminum torque tubes
and prevent rear end snouts from being bent even in a hard crash.
This results in less long term cost and maintenance. It is simply
a great value. Track experiences have confirmed that upon car impact with wall (worse case scenario) the
BAC Carbon
Fiber Torque Tube deflects, but does not break or remain bent. (After impact, all other torque tubes will
either break or remain bent.) Rear end snout studs may pull out, but that simply requires replacing the
studs. There is no need to remove the torque tube! You’re back out on the track faster without wondering if
your suspension is working properly!
When Safety Counts...
Since the BAC Torque Tube only weighs 4.3 lbs, remains straight and in
one piece even after a crash, it increases the safety to the driver’s legs by
containing the driveshaft components with a lightweight, energy-absorbing composite structure.

Ultimate Load/Deflection Tests

Optimized Design Through Structural Analysis
Utilizing aerospace structural analysis
techniques, the BAC Carbon Fiber
Torque Tube is an optimized design with
no stress risers, (typical failure location
for all other torque tube designs is at the
tube and base junction). Ultimate load
tests revealed an ultimate strength of
4864 lbs vs. 3540 lbs. for aluminum
torque tubes (37% increase in strength).
The superior strength is due to an
optimized laminate construction of
carbon fiber/epoxy of which the majority
of the fibers are oriented along the X-axis
of the tube.
